EARTH / HEART
Beneath the sky, the old god asked:
“What word lies under heaven’s mask?”
I carved five runes into the dirt:
E-A-R-T-H — the name of hurt.
The ravens laughed. The thunder stirred.
The ground began to breathe the word.
Turn it once — the letters part.
Earth cracks open. Out comes heart.
Earth to heart, heart to flame,
Flame to hunger, hunger to name.
Name to serpent, serpent to start,
Start eats earth and births the heart.
One-eyed riddler, rune-blood wise,
Hides the answer from the skies.
Not below and not above —
The world is soil remembering love.
So bite the riddle. Break the chart.
Beneath the sky, the earth is heart.
